# Fungal — native files and limitations

Mycelium-like growth on DejaVu Sans-derived letters for experimental graphic titles.

Experimental display only, not body text. Faint seed dots remain at the native default; not every inherited glyph grows. Tendrils extend far beyond ordinary advances and line metrics, can overlap adjacent letters or lines, and require generous space. This short preview uses grow 300 / THCK 500, not the native 0 / 0 default.

One unchanged variable TTF and WOFF2. THCK and grow each have min/default/max 0 / 0 / 1000; the preview is intentionally 500 / 300, not the native default. The 21 named instances are settings, not extra families. Only a subset of inherited glyphs has growth; seed contours are preserved without filtering. Default cmap, glyph order, outlines and hmtx agree across formats. Native glyf/loca/head containers can differ while decoded semantics agree; no raw-container identity or DSIG-validity claim. Numeric sample bounds do not certify actual browser clipping, continuous axes, every glyph or every text string.

The complete inherited Bitstream Vera/DejaVu, Arev, TeX Gyre DJV Math and AMS LICENSE.txt is preserved, alongside COPYRIGHT.md and its Reserved Font Name Fungal wording. This non-OFL source combination is recorded, not normalized or legally resolved. Original embedded notices do not replace the fuller external collection. No new license grant is made.

Exact encoded coverage: coverage/Fungal.tsv. All 95 printable ASCII codepoints are present. Glyph counts, inherited repertoire and finite sample tests are not all-language/all-alternate or visual-quality certification. Native fsType8 and weight400 are retained; metadata flags are not a replacement for the original license. No font was modified, converted, subset, renamed or installed. OTS was not installed/run.

The original README refers to repository specimen images not bundled here. This is a native-file distribution, not a full source checkout.
