A tracer and its scaled partner

Move the tracer T while its partner P follows P = kT about the fixed origin O at (0, 0). Every plotted point has a visible coordinate.

Tracer, copy, and fixed originA line joins the fixed origin to a source point and its scaled partner. The coordinate table supplies all numerical values.xyOTP

Purple: source/tracer. Teal: copy. At k = 1 the points and paths coincide.

Ideal geometry and limits

Distances from O and between path points scale by k. In this model the origin is fixed at zero; with another origin, use P = O + k(T − O). No joint friction, loose pivots, reachable workspace, pencil pressure, bar lengths, or physical interference is simulated.
