Listen to the ingredients of a ring
Three short synthetic comparisons. These are mathematical sounds, not recordings of a real bell or a pitch-perception test.
Silent. Choose a sound to hear a four-second example.
| Sound | Frequencies |
|---|---|
| Single | 200 |
| Harmonic | 200,400,600,800,1000 |
| Inharmonic | 200,323,424,563,723 |
All components begin together, with higher components given faster decay. Notice whether the changing balance affects the tail’s character.
Start with your device volume low. User-started only; four-second limit, gentle onset and final fade. The two groups differ in frequencies, so this is an ingredient comparison, not an isolated controlled test of harmonicity or a matched-loudness experiment.
