One average, two output speeds
Change an ideal differential's carrier speed and the difference between its outputs. All values are signed revolutions per minute (rpm).
Left80rpm
Carrier100rpm
Right120rpm
This is a speed constraint, not a tire, torque, traction, or vehicle-handling simulation. A negative output means reverse rotation in this ideal bench model. No road conditions are modeled.
Why do the two numbers stay linked?
With equal side-gear ratios, left + right = 2 × carrier. If the carrier is 100 rpm and the left becomes 70 rpm, the right must become 130 rpm. A real car's paths, tire sizes, and grip determine the actual demand.
