One sky, several kinds of information

Compare the Milky Way and moonlight studies without merging their beetle species or their experimental cues.

QuestionYour note from the paper
Which species?Scarabaeus satyrus or S. zambesianus? Keep the identification attached to the result.
Which feature changed?Visible moon disc, polarization pattern or broad celestial brightness?
Which outcome?Path straightness, direction change or travel time?

Think about a hidden moon

Blocking the direct view of the moon does not automatically remove the scattered-light polarization pattern elsewhere in the sky. A result can distinguish the visible object from a pattern associated with its light.
